voyage is unclear to the investigation team. All are dead, but how, and why? Has earth lost its
chance take an advantage in their losing war? Watch closely and see if you can discover the enigma

Director Statement

Enigma has been a pet project of the Shumway Brothers for five years. It all started with an idea to collaborate
on a film. With Jason being from the live action world and Matt from the animation world, this provided an
opportunity to bring something unique to the independent world. Since they both have a love of sci-fi, this
turned out to be the perfect genre for them to create their first film together. Jason and Matt spent 6 months
developing the script and pre-producing the film. Principle photography went over the course of 6 days, with 2
rounds of weekend pickups. Post production comprised the majority of the process, taking a little over 4 years
to complete. With the tremendous amount of complex visual effects and having to hold down busy full time jobs,
the post production process was often a difficult task to juggle. Working long hours into the nights and sacrificing
weekends provided the time to create the world of Enigma. Though it took a long time to finish, the Shumway Brothers
could not be more excited to share their creation with the world. Ending with a standing ovation at the Hollywood
Premiere, the Shumway Brothers are happy to see the long hours and several years of work be reflected with smiles
and cheers. They hope that people will enjoy Enigma as much as they have enjoyed creating it!
